It is the intangible that makes it useful."

[iX3] is a symbol for the intergration of Mind-Body-Spirit for improved individual and team performance. The primary focus is athletics. However, the principles discussed and examined are generic and apply to areas outside of sport.

The "i" represents the individual. It is lowercase as a reminder that we need to be humble, respectful, and gracious.

The "X" has two functions. First, it is the mathmatical symbol for multiplication. Second, it is a cross, which has obvious Christian overtones.

The "3" also have multiple meanings. The most obvious is Mind-Body-Spirit. Taking the "X" as a symbol for the Cross, the "3" invokes the Christian Trinity. Eastern thought, particularly Taoism, has a trinity as well of vitality, energy, and spirit. Finally, from athletic perspective, it represents the three sports that comprise a triathlon, swim-bike-run.

iX3 > I

The equation above expresses my belief that anyone who can be humble, respectful, and gracious in their life ("i"), multiply ("X") it through the successful integration of the trinities ("3") will greater than the "I" who tries to stand on his or her own.
